Message from the founder

Faith, parents, and lasting charity

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The charity you give will be your shade on the Day of Judgment."

Shahid Aslam — founder and chair

In the Qur'an, Almighty Allah places the command to honour parents alongside the command to worship Him — reminding us that true devotion is reflected in how we speak to them, how we care for them, and how we serve them.

The Prophets, peace be upon them all, demonstrated that true greatness lies in humility, and in being dutiful to one's parents. No success, no status, and no achievement exempts us from this responsibility.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us: "The pleasure of Allah lies in the pleasure of the parents." That Paradise lies at the feet of the mother. And that honouring one's father is a gateway to Jannah.

These are not merely words; they are a way of life. Every act of kindness toward our parents, every moment of patience, every quiet dua is a step closer to Allah's mercy. We are encouraged to care more deeply, to listen more attentively, and to pray constantly for them.

And beyond their lifetime, we are encouraged to continue serving them through charity, knowledge, and acts of goodness that outlive us. This is not just a message; it is an invitation. To see our parents with renewed understanding. To recognise their sacrifices. To honour their struggles. To respond with gratitude, patience, and love. In doing so, we do not only fulfil a duty — we transform our hearts and draw nearer to Allah.

"My Lord, have mercy upon them as they raised me when I was small." (Qur'an 17:24)

Sadaqah Jariyah

Charity that continues after we depart

Sadaqah Jariyah (‘flowing charity’) is any deed whose goodness continues—from a well villagers drink from, to a child who learns Qur’an because you funded her classroom. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, taught that certain deeds keep benefiting a believer after death; the foundation aligns projects with those enduring categories.

Safe water pumps and wells villagers maintain for generations

Classrooms where Qur’an and vocational skills coexist

Shelter stipends paired with safeguarding for orphaned families

Community buildings that anchor prayer during disaster recovery

“Among the deeds a believer continues to benefit from after his death are knowledge which he taught and circulated, upright offspring who supplicate for him…” Reported by Muslim

Reflection

Charity and remembrance

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.
Qur'an 2:261

Encourages generous, sustained giving with hope in Allah’s multiplication.

Those who spend their wealth in charity by night and by day, secretly and openly—they shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
Qur'an 2:274
When the human being dies, his deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.
Sahih Muslim

Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) continues to benefit after we return to Allah.

The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are like one body.
Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim
Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a date in charity.
Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim

Moments of small but sincere sacrifice matter greatly.

The charity you give will be your shade on the Day of Judgment.
